Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Cardinal Tarot Reading?

A Cardinal Tarot Reading is a guided conversation that uses tarot as a tool for reflection, clarity, and intentional decision-making. We explore the patterns, perspectives, and possibilities present in your life so you can move forward with greater confidence.

Do I need to know anything about tarot? Do I need my own deck?
When do I pay and what is your cancellation policy?
How much does a reading cost?
What kind of questions can I ask?

It is perfectly fine to come to the zoom call as you are. You might find it beneficial to do a body scan meditation beforehand. Being aware of the energy, feelings, and sensations in your body is one of the goals of the Cardinal methodology. You start with your feet. You check in to see how do your feet feel. Is there any pain there or any stiffness and does that change if you rotate your feet by your ankles or flex your toes? You don't do anything with the energy, thoughts, feelings, sensations. You are simply acknowledging and becoming aware. You then move your attention and your awareness up your legs into your calves and thighs. Noticing how they feel at rest or when engaged. You then move your attention into your back. So much of life is carried by our backs. If our backs need our attention, they let us know. Feel your lower back and feel your upper back and shoulders. Notice how they feel. Are those feelings all physical or are some of them emotional. Some of the stiffness in our back and shoulders are expressed from stress and anxiety. Move your attention to your chest and diaphragm with the same intentionality. Don't neglect your neck with this exercise and continue up to the head. Move your jaw around and notice any potential tightness there or above your nose and sinuses. Are you headachy at all? Bring gentle purposeful awareness to your body before you start a Cardinal Reading would be my best recommendation.

There are no questions we can not explore and we can even use the cards to uncover what questions are on your mind if none come to your tongue. You can ask about career, finances, relationships, personal growth, decision-making, creativity, or any area where you're seeking clarity. The best readings begin with genuine curiosity.

You do not need to have any prior experience with tarot to work with me. I do recommend having your own deck for some of the exercises we will do together but not required.

As I get my practice started, I'm offering an introductory price of $45 for a 45 minute session.

What should I do before my reading?

Payment is collected when you reserve your appointment. I prefer to reschedule over refunds but life happens. Please cancel ahead of time rather than just not show up.

Do you read on medical, legal, or financial matters?

Tarot is for entertainment purposes only. I am not qualified to give expert advice on these topics. I do readings for all those questions and more but Tarot offers divergent ways of thinking, not certainty. Every reading is an invitation to reflect. Ultimately your choices shape your path not the cards.

I'm skeptical. Is this still for me?

You won't be the only person on the zoom call skeptical. My spiritual journey is just me exploring my inner skepticism and cynicism. Yet, I continue to be amazed and flabbergasted by the accuracy and depth provided by this deck of 78 cards.
